Mr. Suhas Mate (President)
Our President, Mr. Suhas Mate, is a multi-faceted personality !
In his student life, he remained topper throughout his school career as well as college career.He topped in the first three ranks in Maharashtra State in Midlle School Scholarship (1973), High School Scholarship (1976)and SSC (1979). He is an Engineer, B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications from COEP (Government College of Engineering, Pune, Year 1985).

In his school and college days, he was an excellent Hockey player. Under his captaincy, COEP won Inter collegiate Hockey Tournament in 1984 , only once in the life of COEP.He also represented University of Pune in All India Inter University Hockey tournament in 1984.

As a hobby, he started learning Japanese Language in the year 1989.He has excellent Japanese Language Proficiency. He has completed three years Advanced Diploma from the University of Pune in 1992.He topped in first two ranks in all three years namely Certificate Course, Diploma Course and Advanced Diploma Course of Japanese Language of yhe University of Pune.He topped JLPT Level 2 when JLPT was conducted for the first time in Pune in the year 1993.For this achievement, he was awarded Japan study Tour Award by Japan Foundation in 1994 when he visited Japan for the first time.He studied Japanese and Japanese Culture at Japan Foundation’s Japanese Language Institute at KITA URAWA, SAITAMA KEN, JAPAN.

As a hobby, he has taught Japanese language at the Department of Foreign Languages of University of Pune from the year 1992 to 2000.He was awarded Japanese Language Teachers’ Training Scholarship by Japan Foundation .In the year 1995 , he took training about how to teach Japanese Language at Japan Foundation’s Japanese Language Institute at KITA URAWA, SAITAMA KEN, JAPAN.

As a hobby, he also ran a professional translation company for many years.There, he trained more than translators. Many of them settled in Japan.He has translated more than 1000 pages of Technical documents from Japanese to English and vice a versa.

Today,he has more than 20 years of experience in dealing with Japanese Companies and Japanese Businessmen.He has many Japanese friends.He has vast experience in Japanese Language Teaching and also in Translation.

Today, he is a trusted consultant to many Japanese Companies coming to India.For all these years, he has placed many Japanese skilled professionals in Japanese Companies as well as Indian Companies. He has kept promoting Japanese Technology and Japanese Language .He has constant interaction with Japanese Businesssmen. Moreover, he is in constant touch with the INDO-JAPAN Business situation.

Besides this, today he is a successful and recognized Real Estate Businessman , specializes in Second Home Projects, Farm House Projects, Nature Clubs etc.He is Real Estate Consultant to many large corporates/MNCs /Japanese MNCs .He has in-depth and working knowledge of various real estate related and other laws in India. He is an expert in Liaisoning in Government/ Semi Government Offices. He has a very strong network across many diverse fields all over Maharashtra and India.

B.Sc. Microbiology. Advance Diploma in Japanese, University of Pune. Teaching Japanese language since 1992. Corporate trainer.

Mr. Warunkar D. S. (Vice-President)
Retired Officer from Department of Culture, Government of Maharashtra. Diploma in Japanese Language from University of Pune. JLPT Level 3. Related with JALTAP since year 2000. Certificate in Russian Language from University of Pune. Owns a software Company (Alpha Sapience India) related to SAP field.

Ms. Hunnurkar Meena (Treasurer)
B.A. (Sanskrit), University of Pune. Advanced Diploma in Japanese, University of Pune. Certificate Course (French), University of Pune. Long term Teachers Training Course at The Japan Foundation. Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2. Japanese Language Teacher, Interpreter and Translator. Translated Japanese story books. Founder Member of Japanese Language Teachers Association, Pune.

Ms. Kondvikar Varsha ( Joint Secretary)
Master’s degree in English Literature and Advanced Diploma in Japanese language. JLPT Level 1and JETRO Business Japanese Test Level J2. Teachers Training Scholarship by the Japan Foundation. Designed a course for teaching Business Japanese during this training. Taught in Department of Foreign Languages University of Pune as contributory teacher from 1994 to 2005 and has been in the field of training, translations and interpretations in Japanese language since 1994. In 1997, started Japanese language institute ‘Transjap Services’.

Ms. Musale Amruta (Member)
Advanced Diploma in Japanese Language. JLPT level 2. Presently working as a Freelancer and a Corporate Trainer. Conducting coaching classes for JLPT. Owns a firm Sakura Translation Services and Training Centre.
